Pierre is a professional forest engineer working with Food, Forestry, Environment Protection & Conservation Society (FFE_PCS). Pierre focuses on the sustainable management of natural resources (water, lands, mines, forests, air..) as a livelihood of rural and urban people. Specific focal points include the transfer of technology, advocacy, good governance over natural resources, conservation and climate change mitigation.

Kakay is a freelance consultant for peace and development, and a qualified trainer. Her main focus is on the development impact of the peace process to conflict areas in the Philippines and also regional economic development assistance through regional marketing. She has recently been helping the Forum by advocating for InfoSpring among the development community in the Philippines.

Muthoni is a Kenyan residing in South Africa where she undertook her post-graduate studies. Her knowledge, experience and education are in the field of environment and development with a bias towards urban environment. Her latest passion is energy for sustainable development especially renewable energy, energy effeciency and initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impacts of the energy sector. She is involved with Green Network, a non-profit environmental organization in research and development.

Cathy works for an Non-Governmental Organization called African Food Security and Environmental programme(AFSEP). The Organization's main Objective is promoting Agriculture and Environmental Conservation. She's also a Member of the Kenya W omen's Chamber of Commerce. She holds a degree in Biochemistry and molecular Biology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT).

David has extensive experiences as an agricultural engineer in product design and development. David ran his own engineering company for some time, manufacturing materials handling equipment [mainly conveyors]. Since 1986, David has worked in post-harvest technology and since 1991 as a consultant in international development. He has worked in most of the former Soviet republics, the Balkans and the Middle East, including both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Livai is an agriculture graduate (crop science) of the University of Zimbabwe and is studying for a Masters in Sustainable Agriculture at the University of Free State, South Africa. Currently he is the liaison officer for the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF). Livai has worked as an agricultural extension specialist or development facilitator in Zimbabwe for more than two decades.

Carl is a former computer engineer and returned Zambia Peace Corps volunteer. Carl spent two years in Kasempa District as a rural health extension agent before working in agriculture focusing on crop diversification using legumes, soil conservation methods, and agroforestry. Carl is currently completing his M.S. in Agroecology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

James is an anthropologist, presently working as an advisor for the Peermade Development Society based in Kerala, India. James focuses on farming and rural innovation, participatory technology development and indigenous knowledge promotion. He is also partnering with the FAO on a treaty to conserve and propagate farmers' technology through the establishment of village level enterprises.
